Turn your shifts into a payroll-checking worksheet
Enter dated clock-in/out records for a Philippine pay period. This checker totals time after exact unpaid breaks, separates overtime and night hours when the assumptions are confirmed, and estimates pay for the recorded worked time. Copy the breakdown to compare with your own payroll records.
This is not a complete payslip or an underpayment finding. It excludes unworked holiday pay, paid leave, allowances, deductions, contributions and tax. Monthly salary may already include ordinary pay or holiday pay. Do not add this total to your salary or paste it wholesale into another calculator.
Evidence and action: Have your time records, workday-boundary policy, duty-free break records, rest-day roster, applicable holiday issuance and hourly basic-rate calculation. Verify uncertain classifications with payroll before using amounts. Uncertain coverage, incomplete workdays or mixed day classifications produce an hours-only worksheet.

1. Check coverage and your payroll assumptions
Amounts are available only for covered private-sector employees using the standard eight-hour daily model and the default statutory minimum premiums below. An employment label or job title alone does not decide coverage.
Read the coverage and scope limits first
Use hours-only and seek payroll guidance for government service; domestic work; managerial or qualifying managerial-staff exclusions; field personnel or other employees whose time/performance is unsupervised; members of the employer’s family dependent on the employer for support; qualifying results-based work; compressed or flexible workweeks; health-sector, maritime or other special schedules; and more favorable contract or collective-agreement rates.
Coverage differs by benefit. Retail/service establishments regularly employing five or fewer workers are excluded from the statutory night-differential rule, and those regularly employing fewer than ten workers are excluded from statutory holiday pay. This version does not combine separate coverage rules: use hours-only if any benefit coverage is uncertain. Double holidays, changing workday boundaries and mixed day classifications need separate review.
Enter the verified hourly basic rate directly. How do I verify my hourly rate? This tool does not infer a monthly-salary divisor or check minimum-wage compliance. The workday boundary is when the employer’s applicable 24-hour workday begins, not necessarily midnight or your actual arrival time. Leave it blank if unknown.
Leave either box unticked to prepare an hours-only worksheet. These confirmations do not establish legal entitlement. If a pay cutoff divides a workday, get payroll guidance; this version does not prorate the workday at the cutoff.
2. Add the workdays in your pay period
One complete record per workday, up to 31 records. Use the same row for split shifts. Verify each calendar date’s classification yourself; the tool does not assume Sundays are rest days or automatically identify holidays. A special working day uses ordinary-day treatment unless another applicable rule changes it.
Repeat copies the last dates/times forward one day and resets day classifications to “Not confirmed.” Check the new schedule and categories before calculating.

Your shift breakdown
Taking these figures to the payslip comparison? First match the pay period and what each payroll row includes. “Basic-rate value of all worked time” includes the basic-rate portion of overtime; “Additional overtime premium” is only the extra premium. They do not automatically match the comparison form’s Basic wages and Overtime pay rows. Use the worked example below to choose the right figures. For an hours-only result or an unknown payroll basis, leave unverified amounts blank.
Edit a copy offline if needed. Recalculate after changing entries; old results are cleared so they cannot be mistaken for the updated record.
How are hours and amounts calculated?
List complete workdays using the confirmed workday boundary. Record actual clock-in/out and exact qualifying unpaid breaks, including gaps between split shifts.
Count worked minutes after those breaks. In the confirmed standard model, the first eight worked hours are regular hours and later worked minutes are overtime. Overtime does not restart merely because the clock passes midnight. Night minutes fall in the 10 p.m.–6 a.m. window.
Verify day classification and benefit coverage. In this conservative version, mixed classifications across midnight, unknown categories, workday-boundary problems or regular-holiday records shorter than eight worked hours prevent all monetary totals.
Apply the supported multiplier below. For a night hour, multiply the applicable regular-hour or overtime-hour rate by 1.10. Night hours overlap regular or overtime hours; never add them again to total worked hours.

The money breakdown uses four non-overlapping components: basic-rate value of all worked time; additional day premium; additional overtime premium; and night differential on the applicable rate. Overtime’s basic-rate portion is already in the first component. Each component is rounded to centavos per workday, then those rounded workday components are added. Payroll presentation or rounding may differ; reconcile the underlying minutes and rates.
Use the right figures in the payslip comparison
Worked example, not your result: at PHP 100 per hour, an ordinary-day 8 a.m.–7 p.m. shift with a verified unpaid 12–1 p.m. meal has ten worked hours: eight regular and two overtime. Under the confirmed assumptions above, the shift worksheet shows PHP 1,000 basic-rate value + PHP 50 additional overtime premium = PHP 1,050.
If payroll lists regular basic wages separately from full overtime pay, use these figures for this example:
Basic wages: PHP 800 (8 regular hours × PHP 100).
Overtime pay: PHP 250 (2 overtime hours × PHP 100 × 1.25). This includes PHP 200 basic-rate value for the overtime hours and PHP 50 extra premium.
The two rows still total PHP 1,050. Do not copy PHP 1,000 into Basic wages and then add PHP 250 overtime; that counts the overtime hours’ PHP 200 basic-rate portion twice. If payroll explicitly uses the all-hours-base + premium-only split, compare PHP 1,000 and PHP 50 on that same basis instead.
No overtime? An ordinary eight-worked-hour example at PHP 100 gives PHP 800 basic and PHP 0 overtime. Enter zero only after confirming nothing belongs in that row.
Other premiums or different payroll layouts: holiday/rest-day and night amounts may be grouped differently, and monthly salary may already include some pay. Check the dated components with payroll before assigning them to rows. Do not apply the ordinary-day example to mixed categories, subtract guessed amounts or add the worked-time total on top of salary.
Use the same payroll cutoff on both sides. One shift is only part of a multi-day payslip; include all verified items for that cutoff. This example excludes other earnings and deductions. If the row basis is unknown or the result is hours-only, leave the amount blank and ask payroll for its itemized calculation.
Reconciling premiums: compare the dated hours, day categories and rate basis against your time records and payslip. Use the single-day overtime, holiday and night calculator to review one confirmed day.
Estimating take-home pay: open the net-pay calculator guide. Map only missing earnings to the matching inputs after checking what basic salary already includes. Do not paste this worksheet’s total on top of salary.
Unsure which hours count: read the overtime rules guide and night-differential guide. Keep lawful original time records, schedules, pay records and written explanations. A difference in this estimate alone does not prove a violation.
